Jomtien Beach
Jomtien beach is 2 km southwards to Pattaya. It is long and straight beach and is favored by many over Pattaya beach. The atmosphere is relatively quiet and laidback compared to the latter, and is a lot less crowded. It is comparatively peaceful but is pretty close to the happening spots.
Jomtien Beach is an excellent spot for water sport aficionados; speed boating, wind surfing, water skiing, jet skiing, surfing, diving are the main activities pursued. Equipment can be rented on the beach. Many places offer lessons as well. The facilities are also excellent.
Naklua Beach
Naklua Bay is in the immediate north of Pattaya Bay. The Rachwate Cape separates them both. This also is a more peaceful location that Pattaya beach and is a perfect choice for families. The area has several small intimate beaches which are perfect in seclusion, like Wong Amat and Naklua Beaches. There is also the Sanctuary of Truth, which is an outdoor architectural museum.
Pattaya Islands
Ko Laan (Coral Island), Ko Saak, Ko Shrok, Ko Phai (Bamboo Island) are islands nearby Pattaya. These Islands are accessible by boat and are perfect for a range of activities as well as for viewing coral.
